I had been fascinated by the Zao Wou-Ki retrospective at the Gianadda Foundation in Martigny (Switzerland), in 2016 ; the exhibition now organized by the Museum of Modern Art in Paris is dazzling, the incredible energy released by his paintings echoes in the rooms of the Museum. The works of this stupendous Artist of the 20th Century could not have found a best expression place, a space where the strength of his artistic gesture can reach its magnitude, where the grace of his poetry can fly out of this collection of large paintings.
