Zao Wou-Ki nurtured a lifelong passion for European classical and 20th century avant-garde music but also for European classical music. He completed two paintings of the name Water Music, remaining the piece of the same name by Georg Friedrich Haendel’s. One of these paintings is currently on view in the exhibition at the Colby College Museum of Art in Waterville.
