The Zao Wou-Ki Foundation is currently working on finalizing volume three of the Catalogue Raisonné of Paintings by Zao Wou-Ki, listing the works from 1975 to 2008. This third volume will be the last devoted to the paintings.

We therefore call on collectors, institutions, galleries and experts who may be in possession of or have knowledge of a painting by Zao Wou-Ki from this period to please contact the Foundation in order to verify that this work will indeed be present in the catalogue raisonné.

A real working tool for specialists, this book will also be an object of enjoyment and information resource for a wider audience.

The texts by several contributors, museum curators, art historians or academics from outside the Foundation, will offer diverse perspectives on the painter’s work.

This volume 3 of the catalogue raisonné will come with an unpublished text by Erik Verhagen, professor of contemporary art history at the University of Lille (France), art critic and co-curator of the major exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in Paris in 2018-2019. 

You have until March 1st 2025 to send us information concerning the paintings in order to verify their presence in the catalogue raisonné or to allow them to be included.
