Requesting certification

Françoise Marquet-Zao, chairperson of the Zao Wou-Ki Foundation, is the sole owner of the moral right of the artist’s work.
The Zao Wou-Ki Foundation is specialized in the artist’s work and is therefore authorized to issue all certificates of authenticity relating to the artist’s work.
Certificates of authenticity are composed of two elements:

A picture of the work

indicating the title, date, technique and dimensions, stamped with Zao Wou-Ki’s signature and countersigned by Mrs. Françoise Marquet-Zao, chairman of the Zao Wou-Ki Foundation.

A technical sheet

including a scientific notice, a list of known publication and exhibitions in which the work has been included and all information available upon establishment of the certificate for inclusion in the catalogue raisonné under construction, signed by Mr. Yann Hendgen, artistic director of the Zao Wou-Ki Foundation. This information will be taken from the catalogue raisonné currently in preparation.
In some cases, works may need to be sent to the Foundation for verification prior to establishment of a certificate of authenticity.
Fees for certificates are:
– Oil on canvas: 600 CHF (Swiss francs)
– Work on paper: 350 CHF (Swiss francs)

Certificates can only be delivered once payment is received by bank transfer.

No duplicates will be issued.
